Returning a Daimler to its 1970s glory – Daimler Sovereign

This stunning 1972 Daimler Sovereign in a quintessentially 1970s chocolate brown colour with a pale green interior was bought from new by our client’s father.

The car was stripped to bare metal and we carried out some fabrication repair to some nasty rust outs along with some mechanical repairs to the overdrive.

We painted the car in a perfect match to the original brown colour and replicated the gold pinstriping. The interior was showing its age and we re-connolised the leather, repairing cracks and painted it to match the original green colour. A new headliner completed the interior works. Finally, the exterior brightworks were re-chromed and polished.

The Result

The car has been returned to its original 1970s appearance. Love it or hate it, it is now a stunning reminder of the bold colour combinations of the 1970s that even the normally restrained brand Jaguar adopted. We love it!
